All construction waste in Chennai must be taken to the Kodungaiyur and Perungudi garbage dumps, where the weight will be calculated and a fee will be charged. The Chennai Corporation has announced that construction waste will be allowed in the garbage dumps only after paying the fee through the corporation’s website, and a fee of Rs. 800 per tonne will be charged for this.
