C-Voter analyst Yashwant Deshmukh said Vijay may not win even a single seat if he contests alone in the Tamil Nadu Assembly election. He compared the situation to Prashant Kishor in Bihar and stated that an alliance with AIADMK could give Vijay a major victory.
