Two women, Kalaivani from Vellore and Bhanumathi from Arcot, travelled for six days on women-only ‘Vidiyal’ buses from Kanyakumari to Chennai, raising awareness. Many have expressed their support for this initiative. However, opposition parties, including the BJP, have also been criticizing it.
