During his swearing-in ceremony, Puducherry TVK MLA Ramu held up a photo of his party leader, Vijay, and referred to him as a god. Objecting to this, the Speaker directed that the remarks made regarding Vijay be expunged from the House records. Furthermore, he sarcastically questioned, “There are already 1,008 gods; is he going to be the 1,009th?”
