The Chennai Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of rain in 28 districts in Tamil Nadu in the next 3 hours. An orange alert has been issued for heavy rain with thunder and lightning in 8 districts including Tirupattur, Vellore and Cuddalore, while there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder in 21 districts including Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram and Tenkasi
