In Gujarat, just six “letterhead parties”—registered but unrecognized parties lacking significant influence—have raised funds amounting to ₹1,700 crore. Of these, the Aam Janmat Party alone raised ₹620 crore; this is double the amount of funds raised by the Congress party.
