The increase in train fares across the country has come into effect from today. There has been no increase in the fare for ordinary passenger trains for distances up to 500 km. On the same note, the 2nd class fare for distances between 501 and 1500 km has increased by Rs. 5 from today. Here is how much has increased from Chennai to Thoothukudi, Kumari and Nellai.
