Southern Railway has warned that passengers traveling on trains who listen to Reels or songs at high volume without headphones—thereby disturbing fellow passengers—will face heavy fines. The railway stated that a first-time offense will attract a fine of ₹1,000, while a repeat offense will result in a fine of ₹5,000 and a six-month prison sentence.
