Sengottaiyan, one of the most senior politicians in Tamil Nadu, has been appointed Finance Minister in the new cabinet led by Vijay. A former AIADMK leader and long-time MLA from Gobichettipalayam, Sengottaiyan has earlier handled Transport, Agriculture, IT and School Education departments in previous governments.
