Jayanthi, the Director of Public Libraries, has been removed from her post following the inclusion of spurious books in the ‘Periyar Arivulagam’ collection. The additional charge she held has been withdrawn, and Shajeevana, IAS, has been appointed as the new Director of Public Libraries Department.
