Traffic congestion is a major problem in Bengaluru. In this context, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Region Development Authority has decided to levy a separate fee for vehicles parked in public places while shopping. Accordingly, separate fees will be charged for two-wheelers and cars. Reports indicate that discussions are underway to implement this system in the first or second week of February.
