A fierce clash broke out between two groups at the Alangudi Temple Chariot Festival in Pudukkottai district last night. Two people were slashed with machetes in the clash. A total of six people were injured, while shanty houses were set on fire and bikes were set on fire. In addition, the glass of a government bus was broken, and the paramilitary forces have been deployed amid heightened tension.
