An 83-year-old businessman from Mumbai had taken out health insurance for himself and his wife with a private insurance company. He had appealed to the insurance company for Rs. 17¾ lakh for cancer treatment. But the insurance company refused to pay. In this case, the Bombay High Court, which ruled in this case, has ruled that there is no connection between cancer and alcoholism.
