Cyclone Montha, which formed in the Bay of Bengal, started moving towards the coast near Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh with strong winds yesterday evening and crossed the coast at midnight. After crossing the coast as a severe cyclonic storm, Montha weakened into a cyclonic storm. It is reported that it may weaken further by this morning.
