The Chennai Meteorological Department has reported that over the next two hours, heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely to lash 12 districts in Tamil Nadu, from Thiruvallur to Tenkasi. In particular, districts like Coimbatore, Madurai, Namakkal, Dindigul, and Salem are expected to receive intense rainfall.
