Officials have indicated in an inquiry report that the drug Dexamethasone may be the cause of the death of Seetha, a nursing student who underwent surgery for nasal pain at the Trichy Government Hospital. Following the report submitted by a high-level committee, the use of the specific batch of Dexamethasone in question has been discontinued.
