The Arappor Iyakkam has lodged a complaint with the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption against former Minister E.V. Velu, alleging that he illegally excavated soil worth approximately ₹8 crore from the Malapambadi lake in Tiruvannamalai district and dumped it on his family’s land to host a DMK Youth Wing conference.
