The Madras High Court Madurai Bench has upheld the order allowing the lighting of a traditional lamp at the Thiruparankundram hilltop pillar, rejecting the Tamil Nadu Government’s appeal citing law and order issues. Former TN BJP President Annamalai welcomed the verdict and criticised the DMK Government, stating that the court warned the government against acting for political gains.
