The Registration Department has stated that applicants constructing multi-storied residential complexes or commercial complexes will be granted an exemption from stamp duty and registration fees when transferring land to the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) via gift deeds for the purpose of setting up a substation.
