The DMK has lost the Tamil Nadu Assembly election and ceded power to Chief Minister Vijay’s Tamillaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Against this backdrop, reports indicate that the DMK plans to implement a “50:50 formula” and bring about major structural changes within the party to ensure it does not face defeat against the TVK in future Tamil Nadu politics.
