Governor Arlekar has granted assent to the amendment bill prioritizing candidates who pursued their education through the Tamil medium for Tamil Nadu government jobs. Under this measure, 20 percent of all vacancies filled through direct recruitment will be reserved on a priority basis for those who studied in the Tamil medium.
