Vijayender Gupta, a senior BJP leader and a three-time winner from the Rohini constituency, has been appointed as the new Speaker of the Delhi Union Territory Legislative Assembly. In 2015, he was forcefully thrown out of the Delhi Assembly by marshals, and today, he takes charge as the Speaker of the same Assembly.
