The Denkanikottai police in Krishnagiri district have registered a case against Anbanandan Ariyappan, the ‘Gen Z’ wing coordinator of the DMK, on charges of mocking Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, defaming the government, and undermining the dignity of women. The Madras High Court has dismissed his petition seeking anticipatory bail in this case.
