Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm, made landfall in Jamaica, on Tuesday. With wind speeds of 300 km per hour and sustained winds stronger than those of Hurricane Katrina, Melissa became one of the strongest storms on record in the Atlantic Ocean.
