Anti-corruption police arrested Village Administrative Officer Saravanan red-handed in Chekkadipatti village, near Vazhapadi in Salem district, on charges of accepting a bribe of ₹4,000 to transfer the name on a land title (patta). His assistant was also caught red-handed by the police.
