The incident of a policeman setting himself on fire by pouring petrol on himself near Chennai’s Taramani this morning has caused shock and sadness. The policeman, who was feeling guilty after causing an accident with a two-wheeler while driving under the influence of alcohol last evening, committed suicide this morning.
