A notorious rowdy was shot in the leg by the police in Tsunami Housing in Ennore, Chennai. The police have explained that the rowdy, Vicky from Puducherry, was shot in self-defense. The police have said that he was shot because he tried to escape by throwing a petrol bomb at a police inspector.
