The Corporation has decided to construct an 8-lane highway at Chennai Marina, the 2nd longest beach in the world. It has been reported that a decision has been taken to convert Marina Kamaraj Salai into an 8-lane highway and the statues of leaders from the Statue of Labor to the Lighthouse will be replaced for this purpose.
