In Cuddalore district, the distribution of essential commodities at ration shops was halted yesterday due to a server problem, causing immense hardship to a large number of people. Since only Pongal gift packages are being distributed from today onwards, a situation has arisen where people will only be able to purchase items like rice and sugar after the Pongal festival.
