With the Pongal festival drawing a large number of tourists to Kodaikanal, the Forest Department has introduced a new rule for entry at popular tourist spots such as Guna Caves, Moir Point, Pillar Rocks, and the Pine Forests. Visitors can now make payments only through Google Pay or PhonePe, as part of the newly implemented digital payment system.
