Rice: People have been severely affected by the rise in rice prices. In response, the Tamil Nadu government—led by the TVK—announced that fine-quality rice would be sold at lower prices through cooperative ‘Amudham’ stores. However, AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran has criticized the situation, noting that the public is complaining that an insufficient quantity of rice is being supplied.
