Phoenix Kothari Footwear is set to begin Adidas shoe production at its new Karur unit from July 10, as part of a $1 billion investment plan over the next five years to manufacture 100 million pairs. This move strengthens Tamil Nadu’s position as India’s emerging non-leather footwear capital.
