Cauvery water: Although several days have passed since the release of Cauvery water from the Mettur Dam, the water has not yet reached the tail-end areas. Consequently, the Cauvery Water Management Authority has ordered Karnataka to release water from the Cauvery to Tamil Nadu at a rate of 3,000 cubic feet per second for the next 15 days.
