As the low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a well-marked low-pressure area, storm warning signals (Signal No. 1) have been hoisted at nine ports across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. These include the ports of Chennai, Ennore, Kattupalli, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Puducherry, Pamban, and Thoothukudi.
