The Chennai Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in 25 districts in Tamil Nadu till 7 pm tonight. It has issued an orange alert, warning that there will be light rain with thunder and lightning in Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupattur, Tiruvallur, Tiruvannamalai, Cuddalore and Villupuram districts in particular.
