This is poor planning. There is a metro line under proposal in this route, Tambaram-Velachery-Guindy, DPR is being prepared. When that is the case, the government must wait for 2-3 years and build this flyover along with the metro. Instead building the flyover in advance will leave no space for the metro, in this congested junction. CMRL will be pushed to build an expensive underground corridor.
