Reports indicate that the Tamil Nadu Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department is saving approximately 30% in funds due to the transparent and highly competitive manner in which tenders are conducted. Against this backdrop, the Arappor Iyakkam has stated that the government could save up to ₹60,000 crore annually if healthy competition prevails in the tendering process.
