A government order has been issued granting permission to build one lakh more houses under the Kalaignar Kanavu Illam project. So far, 2 lakh houses have been built under the Kalaignar Kanavu Illam Scheme. In this situation, the Tamil Nadu government has given administrative permission to build one lakh more houses at a cost of Rs. 3,500 crore.
