As gold prices rise, sales of 18-carat and 9-carat gold have also increased. In Bengaluru, 9-carat gold jewellery is being sold at a price of Rs 38,000 per piece. This saves people up to Rs 57,000 compared to higher-carat jewellery of 22-carat and 24-carat.
