Chennai encounter: Rowdy Toppai Ganesh was shot dead in a police encounter near Madhavaram Roundtana in Chennai. He was wanted in connection with a January 30 robbery case, where ₹25 lakh in cash and 15 sovereigns of gold jewellery were stolen near the same area. Police had been searching for him since the incident. His encounter has created major sensation and tension in the locality.
