At one time, female infanticide and female feticide were widespread in India. However, this problem decreased after the spread of education. While we believed that female feticide had decreased due to literacy, it has now come to light that among well-educated Indians who have settled in England, the practice of aborting female fetuses in favor of male children is on the rise.
