There are cases against the financial institutions NeoMax, Helpin, and MRDT, which operated with Madurai as their headquarters, for engaging in fraud. The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has ordered that assets worth Rs. 2,000 crore be auctioned off in the initial phase.
