A 14-year-old boy from Chinnivakkam village in Kanchipuram district died of rabies after hiding a dog bite out of fear that his parents would scold him. Despite being shifted between government hospitals for advanced treatment, he succumbed to the infection, leaving the locality in deep shock and grief.
