Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin announced the Pongal gift package, and Rs. 6453.54 crore in cash has been distributed to 2.15 crore beneficiaries, according to Cooperation Minister KR Periyakaruppan. He further stated that so far, 97% of ration cardholders have received and benefited from the Pongal gift package.
