China is strengthening its infrastructure in the disputed Pangong Lake area near the border in eastern Ladakh. Satellite images have confirmed that construction work for this is progressing rapidly. These developments threaten to reignite tensions at a time when relations between the two countries are just beginning to improve after the clashes in Ladakh in 2020.
