The Madras High Court has expressed skepticism over claims that there are no orderlies posted at the residences of police officers in Tamil Nadu. At the same time, the court appreciated the Director General of Police’s circular directing that orderlies should not be deployed at police officers’ homes, calling it a positive and necessary reform.
