A contempt of court case has been filed after authorities failed to implement Justice G.R. Swaminathan’s order to light the Karthigai Deepam on the hilltop beacon at Tirupparankundram. The case comes up for hearing today, with the Chief Secretary and DGP expected to appear via video conferencing.
