Hindu Makkal Katchi has severely criticized the Tamil Nadu Archaeology Department officials for conducting an inspection on the Thiruparankundram hilltop with wearing shoes. The party alleged that the government is engaged in a conspiracy to declare that what is there is not a lamp post but a boundary stone.
