The lorry Owners Association in Tamil Nadu has announced an indefinite strike from December 9 to protest the hike in FC fares for vehicles. This has led to a shortage of various essential commodities including vegetables and gas. In this situation, the strike has been postponed due to the promise made by Tamil Nadu Transport Minister Siva Shankar.
