The Madras High Court has ruled that only members of the Thenkalai sect have exclusive rights to recite the Srisailesa Dayapathiram, the Nalayira Divya Prabandham, and the Manavala Mamunigal Vazhi Thirunamam at the Kanchipuram Varadaraja Perumal Temple.
